Will my insurance cover the cost of a repair or replacement?
Most insurance companies will cover the cost of auto glass, if you carry comprehensive coverage. If you carry a deductible, that is your portion payable to Orion Auto Glass and we bill insurance for the remaining balance. Our office staff will assist you in setting up the claim with your insurance company.
Will you waive my deductible?
Orion Auto Glass offers deductible assistance in most cases. Our office staff will determine what, if any discount can be provided based on the insurance carrier and vehicle information. Please note, Orion Auto Glass cannot cover any deductibles for State Farm customers.
Will you bill the insurance company for me?
Yes! Orion Auto Glass works with most insurance companies and their network billing administrators. In most cases, the insurance company will require a short conference call with you, the insured, and us, the glass shop, on the phone to set up the claim. After that, we handle the rest!
How do I know if my windshield can be repaired?
Generally speaking; if the chip is smaller than the size of a quarter and outside of the driver’s line of vision, it is a good candidate for a chip repair. However, a qualified technician will determine if a chip repair will be the best option.
Does the chip disappear with a repair?
A chip repair is structural, not cosmetic. Most likely, you will see some of the chip even after a repair. If the chip is in the driver’s line of vision, we recommend replacing the windshield to avoid it becoming a distraction.
How soon can I drive my car after a replacement?
Our urethane has a 60-minute cure time. In most cases, the vehicle is safe to drive 1 hour after the windshield has been replaced. There may be some cases when the vehicle should sit for a longer period of time. For example; extreme hot/cold temperatures. The technician will advise you of your Safe Drive Away Time (SDAT.)
